The estate has a park with a running and cycling track and picnic area. It is approximately 10 km (6 miles) from Dublin city centre. The No 47 bus goes towards the city centre approximately every 20 minutes. Five minutes walk from the picturesque village of Stepaside, in the foothills of the Dublin mountains.
There are several trails for hill-walking in the scenic Dublin and Wicklow mountains. Leopardstown race course is approximately 4 km. Horse-race meetings take place frequently throughout the year. There is an abundance of golf courses in the area, with reasonable green fees.
